Hi Profi Users,

I am brandnew both to the B3 (bought it 2 weeks ago) and to this forum.
Installation and use of the B3 was/is very easy and userfriendly. The B3 is connected to a Squeeze Box Touch (SBT), a Fritzbox modem/router and an iMac.

There is one quite frustrating thing left: updating the software. It seems that the newest version is 2.3. On my B3 2.1. is installed, and I cannot getting it updated. the process is stopping at 20%, saying that's verifying the updated system. But it's endless going on with that. Also the squeezecenter update from 7.5.1. to 7.6.1. is not possible, as I already updated my SBT to 7.6.1. successfully.

I already read several postings on this issue but no one was explaining in ' nonpro-language' how to fix it.

Could anyone give an advise or solution?

Hello jan,

Your right there is a problem with the update, excito is busy in solving thus issue.

To solve it manually do the next:
- login with ssh and become su (su <enter> excito <enter>
- apt-get update
- apt-get upgrade, and wait for it to finish
If you get an error type in the solution mentioned in the error and do it the update upgrade again.

Then reboot the b3 and dont do a web upgrade until excite has solved the issue

As I am a complete dummy in Linux-issues (SSH ), I think I have to wait voor Excito to get it fixed.

Ssh is the secure shell.
