Power Supply (AC Adapter)

Hi!

I have just been moving to a new house which me and my wife bought but during the move the power supply for my dear Bubba Two got lost. The end of days is upon me. =(

Well, now i wonder, does anyone know where to get a new 12V 4A (or a 4A and up is ok i presume) Power Supply (or AC adapter/transformator as they are called here) online in preferably Sweden or elsewhere that fits the Bubba Two (could be a universal one or what ever).

Also, do you guys at Excito offer the possibility to purchase a new Power Supply directly from you?

Found this one now after a bit more searching. Can anyone confirm if this should work with the Bubba Two?

Yes, that one will work fine. It's a little bit over-specified (=expensive) but will work just fine.

Another option is buying one from us:

Ok, thanks! So I 3 ampere power supply is enough for the B2 then? Because it says 4A required on the acctual hardware.

Howdy,
The main reason it has to be specified like that is the power surge during the spin-up of the disk on startup.
I guess both the disk and the power-supply can take it. If not, you have the words of the manufacturer that it will. So no worries...

Exactly, it's the spin-up current that sets the limit, and actually 2.5A is more than enough when using the Western Digital green power disks. If you are using other disks 3A is recommended. And the reason for stating 4A is that the current specification varies, 4A on a low-cost PSU might mean that it cuts at 4.1A. The 3A we use can supply up to 5A for short periods of time (i.e. spin-up).

So in short, our 3A works fine, other's 3A also work fine when using GP disks, else go for 4A or higher.
