File transfer issues

Hi,
I got my Bubba 2 server last week and I'm having problems with downloads and file transfer speeds to and from the bubba.
I got an 100/100 mbit connection and when i download files to the bubba i max out a 2.5 mB/s (i think wget logged 100Mb file at 2.64 mB/s).
On my workstation I downloaded the same file in FireFox and had a transfer speed at around 7 mB/s all the time.
When I transfer files locally using the samba protocol I have the same problem, around 2,5 mB/s i max, using FTP it's a litte better around 10 mB/s. This is far from what a gbit lan should be able to deliver.
My my setup at home is "Internet -> Bubba 2 -> Dlink DIR-655 (gbit switch) -> Wired connection to some of my computers"
Does anyone else has this problem or is it only me? Does anyone know a good solution?
