Problem copying files too B3

Hello

I have bought the B3 and I am trying too copy files from my laptop with windows 7 too the B3. I use a netgear cg3100 as a modem, router and firewalll. The B3 is connected via a network cable to the cg3100 and it is set to work as a server. The laptop is connected too the cg3100 with a network cable. The B3 has software version 2.2.0.

I have gone through the setup process and I have created one account. I can connect too the B3 via the web interface and through the windows explorer. The problem I have is that I can“t copy alot of files from the laptop too B3 or from the B3 too the laptop and I am trying to do this throught the windows explorer. For example if I select 4Gb of mp3 files and try too copy them from the laptop too the B3, the copy process will go on for a couples of minutes then the copy process will stop because there is a problem with the access too the \\B3\storage and that I should controll if I am connected too the network. I can at this time through the web interface connect too the B3, so the connection is still there.

What is causing the problem?

Best regards
Jon

Are you connected via the Wireless (if so via the Bubba or the modem) or wired? If wireless you might try to copy via a wired connection to be sure the problem isn't with your wireless setup.

Hi

The B3 is wired too the modem and my laptop is wired too the modem and wifi is switch off on the B3 and on my laptop.

I have tried my girlfriends computer which is a Macbook with OSX 10.6.6 and I had the same configuration with the B3 wired too the modem and the mac wired too the modem. The bloody thing works.I am copying all the mp3 files without a problem.

The problem must be on my laptop with windows 7 or with the combination windows 7 and B3. Hopefully it is only my own computer that needs a format c: :D

Might be that Windows 7 is blocking yor network. You haven't let windows determine any network settings? Try googling for these. There's a lot of 'security' settings you have to turn off to make Windows 7 talk to non-win7 computers without any problems.
