B3: Samba connection SIGHUP...

Hi,

My samba share to the shared video storage on B3 gets SIGHUP'ed from time to time and the video streaming closes.

I am streaming to my HTPC and its MediaBrowser and haven't got any problems until recently.

Here's the log from /var/log/samba/log.all:

Code: Select all

[2011/01/16 20:42:13, 1] smbd/process.c:756(smbd_sig_hup_handler)
  Reloading services after SIGHUP
[2011/01/16 20:42:14, 1] smbd/service.c:1240(close_cnum)
htpc-mce (192.168.1.7) closed connection to service storage
[2011/01/16 20:42:17, 1] smbd/service.c:1063(make_connection_snum)
htpc-mce (192.168.1.7) connect to service storage initially as user nobody (uid=65534, gid=100) (pid 9471)
I've manually restarted Samba as well, with same result as above.

Any tips or suggestions?

Did you read this other forum which had the same problem? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1429428
I didn't read it completely, but it seems the solution there was to switch to a static IP address. The re-lease by the DHCP server can cause HUPs sometimes

I've switched to a static IP address.

Works fine, from what I've seen so far there're no SIGHUPS yet.

Thanks for the help!
