reinstalling doesn't reinitialize admin password?

I forgot my admin password and generally just wanted to "restart from scratch". So I followed the re-installation section in the manual. Boot from USB memory stick, the LED blinks for approximately 7 minutes (500GB disk) and then I am able to access
http://bubba.local/ again. No manual power cycle necessary, is that OK? However it directly asks me for an admin password. Shouldn't the bubba be completely wiped out? Is there any way to tell if the reinstall worked? I guess I'll try to re-create the USB memory stick again and see if it works better this time.

The default password is: admin on the web GUI...
The default password is: excito on SSH or Putty...

Thanks! I must have done something wrong with the first re-installation attempt, now that I re-created the USB memory stick and tried it again, it worked.
