How do I add a DNS name for a local computer accessed via intranet without ading a DNS server? I would like to host http pages to my local network. I would like to add a hostname to the server computer so that other people on the network can browse by the hostname rather than by the computer name. How can I do this without setting up a DNS server? or is it possible?

Re: DNS server
The only way that I'm aware of without using DNS is to edit the hosts file on every client PC. /etc/hosts on *nix and \Windows\system32\drivers\etc\ on Doze.
