Hi,

When I select a media file in Mediatomb, I get a 'What should Firefox do with this file? Open/Save'. In either case it downloads first the media file and after that it plays it.

I would like to start streaming right away, without downloading it first.

Is it possible by editing a config entry, or similar??

To be able to stream the content the player has to be somewhat aware on that it should do so.

Either use a UPNP capable player, which then should pick up Bubba automatically or you could copy the link adress and then open it up in a mediaplayer such as for example VLC, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ a capable and free mediaplayer. Which should be able to play some formats over http.
