No mailserver after boot

The bubba mail service does not start up after reboot!
I need to enter admin uncheck the boxes for mail -> update -> check them again -> update.
Then it works fine unteil next time you reboot for som reason.

What could I do? The check boxes means that the service shall be active and so from boot I assume!

Stensma :?

I am having the same problem for the Upnp service (Mediatomb). Doesn't start anymore after reboot even though the service is checked in the Web GUI. It still runs if I start it manually from the console.

Probably not the answer, but I would check both of these from ssh using update-rc.d, just to make sure the GUI list is tying up properly.

e.g.

Code: Select all

update-rc.d mediatomb defaults
http://www.debuntu.org/how-to-manage-se ... pdate-rc.d

To investigate this issue, would it be possible for you to attach your mail.log and syslog here?

Stensma, which parts the mail functionality does not work? All of them or just one in particular?

Hi!

Sorry for late answer.

It seems that the mail does not answer on requests from klient machines when tey try to read mail from bubba.

The same goes for WEB access no respons !

After uncheck and the check the mail functions in bubba it works.

Probably this has nothing to do with service problems discussed here.

Upnp setting is not retained with Backup and Restore.

When Bubba's settings are backed up and restored (web interface) the Upnp setting is not saved and restored back to it's original state.
I have turned off Upnp service on Bubba by unchecking Upnp service from service list and saved settings with Backup function. After restoring Bubba's settings with restore function, Upnp service is checked back on.
I am not using Upnp service, so can not say if it's working or not.
