I don't particularly wanna go hacking around in the kernel source unless I have to, so I'll ask first. Do you have the i2C modules configured in the kernel, so that lm_sensors will work? In the 1.2.0 release, sensors-detect is unable to identify the bus properly

Any guidance would be useful, so I can complete the task of getting cpu temp monitoring working, update phpsysinfo with it and finish a how-to for everyone else

Hi asparak,

I don't know about the kernel issues, but I do know that our CPU doesn't have any internal temperature sensors. It isn't cosidered needed, since it is very low power (< 2W at full speed). There are other components (such as the SATA controller) that actually uses more power (hence, gets warmer).

The only internal temperature monitoring available is the disk temperature, which also is the only one really important.
