Hello all,

Due to the green hd problem, I'm wondering if copying all the files of bubba / directory and saving them in case of a disk failure, and re-copy them back after patitioning on a new disk would work.

so that one doesn't need to reinstall and configurate all again.

I ask long time ago about backup solution, but the reply was a tool call rsync.
Rsync it's hard to configure specially for daemon to activate at startup.
I guess that QUICKLY the bubba staff create a new release firmware of b2 for:
1) resolve the problem of HD wd green
2) activate an automatic tool for backup on an external hd or usb pendrive!

I agree with you, a server should have a backup option.
one never know what failure might happen like what we face now.

I tried installing backup pc but i find that hard to configure too

And so? any official reply from excito? is plan an upgrade with automatic backup or no? Remember that excito don't produce a videogame but a SERVER and in my case this server manage critical email and ftp file of WORK, not game, so is very necessary an automatic backup, i think that i'm not the only one in this situation..
