Can Bubba Two support 1,5 Tb size harddisk ??

At the moment my server is running with two harddisks. One intern and one extern. Each one is 750 Gb. Next week I'm going to buy my second server (as backup) and instead of two disks I was wondering if I can put one large disk of 1,5 Tb in it. Is this possible or will terrible things happen if I do ??

Has anybody experience with such a big harddisk ??

It will work, but we haven't done any heat tests of it. The cooling system is dimensioned for the WD Green Power disks, but there is some margin, so it _should_ work OK if you don't put it in a too hot place. Just make sure to keep an eye on temperature.

Thanks for the info.

This got me more questions: what is the maximum temperature for the Bubba ?? And how about power ? How many watts/amps are reserved for the harddisk ?? I already searched the technical documentation, but found nothing.

Maximum temperature for bubba is the maximum recommended disk temperature. Usually 55°C or 60°C, this differs between manufacturers and models. Bubba itself can handle much higher temperatures.

Electrical power is dimensioned for a 15W disk with spin-up currents up to 2,5A, so that's no problem at all.
