But when I try to Access the Home folder on My pc it saids: access denied, and refuse to accept my correct username and pasword.

I went to check the status of the home folder at:

right click homefolder-> properties -> DFS -> check status

at my laptop it saids ok, but on my desktop can not reach.

any idea's how to fix this problem?

Thanks a lot,

Rewien,

You should really give us SOME details about the systems you use, network, OS, the situation, the exact messages etc.

The question you place here is like a question I once saw on a German car-forum:

"This morning I could not use my car to drive to work. What is wrong?"

(the answers posted were:)

- you were stone drunk
- you do not HAVE a car
- you forgot your keys
- no roads exist in your county
- you were born blind

and alike..

Not ment to be rude in any way, I just want to assist you in getting your problem solved. The more detailed you post your question, the more chances you have someone will answer.

IF you use windows on both of your systems (g.f. Windows XP), you probably have a problem with windows (or networking) and not with the Bubba.

e.g.
"on My pc it saids: access denied, and refuse to accept my correct username and pasword. "

Did it refuse contact right away, or did it actually PROMPT you (show login window) ?

Some more items to be answered:

Do you use a username on your pc (at startup!) equal to the one on your Bubba?
Do you use Windows XP/Home edition?
Are both the laptop AND the PC on the same (sub-)network?
Are you connected by wire or by Wifi?
Is the Bubba on the same hub/switch?
(More general:) How is your network layout?

Regards

Hello hape,

Sorry for not have included my OS and network configuration, but there is no reason to get al mad and frustrated.

I'am using windows Xp Pro
and my pc and laptop have different users name then I use for bubbatwo.
I'm trying to access bubbatwo home folder with my pc and laptop, yes they are on the same network, and my laptop is wireless and my pc wired

My home network is as following:

Bubbatwo, mediaplayer,pc and laptop are connected to my router and my router to my modem

As I said before, for some reason i'm only able to access my home folder either by my laptop or pc.
and if i'm able to access it by my pc then i'm no longer able to access it by mij laptop.

The problem is:

when I click to enter the folder I get a login window as it should be, but it keeps promping me for username and pasword.
even though I entered my correct username and pasword.

When I richt click on the home folder and go to properties->DFS
It shows that the folder is actieve but unreachable.

If you need more info or detail please ask,

Thanks
Rewien
