SSD for Bubba|TWO

Solid State Disks are starting to become a viable proposition. Here's a recent announcement:

This might be(come) a nice option as internal HD, since SSD's are silent, can match Gigabit Ethernet speeds, and probably have lower power consumption. One idea would be to use a small internal SDD for always-on use, and up to four large external USB/eSATA HD's which only spin up as needed.

Does anyone have information on how suitable SSD's are for Linux these days, in terms of lifetimes / wear-leveling, due to limited write-cycles?
