I'm still trying to get MediaTomb working from Windows.
I can reach the interface nicely on //bubba:49152/ but no program seems to be able to find it.
Until now I have found two programs that should be able to use uPNP from windows:

1. XBMC
2. Cidero

Both do not connect to MediaTomb, but at least Cidero can find it, the log shows this:

1-jul-2008 20:01:17 org.cybergarage.upnp.ControlPoint addDevice

ST: upnp:rootdevice

Maybe someone can help me with that? Is there something wrong with the settings in MediaTomb?

Hi
I have no experience with the programs you try to use.
But wanted to share with you that you can also use iTunes.
You do need a rendezvous proxy
http://ileech.sourceforge.net/index.php ... Proxy-News
but then it works great
Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion, Eek.
I use the FireFly client for FireFly instead of iTunes (I don't like Itunes). Maybe that will work as well using the rendezvouz proxy...

I have found the problem!!
Bubba got a new ip-address recently. It used to be 192.168.1.50, but now it is 192.168.1.52. When studying the output of Cidero, I suddenly noticed it was trying to connect to 192.168.1.50. But why?
From Bubba's admin I switched off Mediatomb, waited a minute or so and switched it on again. That worked!
Now Mediatomb can be found from my Windows machine. I only wounder why Mediatomb still broadcasted the old IP-address....
