Slow file-access from Ubuntu, but not from XP

Hi.
When browsing the bubba from XP, everything works fine, But from my Ubuntu the browsing is painfully slow, about 10sec to update a folder. If I transfer a file, the actual transfer is quick, but all operations involved in browsing and refreshing is slooow.
I have enabled samba on my Ubuntu, and joined my home Workgroup.
