Hi guys, just a few more comments:

2-3 Mbyte/s for wifi can be very normal depending on your conditions. Also it is definitly enough for most HD content. Full HD with high quality compression usually is below 20 Mbps (< 3 Mbyte/s), and very often below 10 Mbps. For instance Netflix recently launched "Super HD" which is in reality around 7 Mbps (< 1 Mbyte / s). I regularly run two media players on wifi (from B3) at home and HD movies has never stuttered for me.

Another comment for you who are experiencing poor performance on wired transfers - this is heaviliy dependent on the transfer protocol you use. SSH is quite poor on B3 due to limited crypto performance (if I remember correctly it maxes out around 6-10 MByte/s), while FTP or SAMBA reads should max out around 30-50 MByte/s.
