If you want to use your B3 as firewall you should turn your Thomson to bridged mode..
And then configure your B3 to "Router / Firewall / Server mode" , and B2's manual works pretty god for B3.

Downloading the Thomson pdf as writing this, i do not know if you can put this type in bridged mode.

Actually, I found a(nother) user manual:

Unfortunately, there's nothing there about bridged mode, BUT in the router admin GUI, I found a possibility to assign different types of traffic to units in the network. For example, now I have assigned HTTP server and Mail server to b3. Maybe that will solve the problem.

Of course, it would have been smoother if I could just assign "all traffic" to b3, but you can't always get it all...

I've got a Thomson router my ISP provided. Although there's no easy way in the GUI to set it into bridging mode I found a ready-made config file on the interwebs that I just loaded up and it does the trick. Try a bit of googling with your router model and you should find something.
