As for the Time Machine question, Bubba won't work out of the box because anything other than a Time Capsule is considered unsupported over a network. I hope Apple change this going forward, as it's something of a limitation.
There is a hack you can perform within OS X to enable Time Machine, and I intend to test this tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.
