Yes your old backups keep running. No need to remove them before the upgrade.
In the backup setup page there is a link to the old backup page, which is fully working.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
Hi Johannes,
the upgrade went without any problem.
Regarding the new backup I have several questions:
- Once you add a new target, you cannot remove it with the web interface
- Where are the config files stored for this backup
- Miss the option to make my own selection to backup, or only backup ...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
Hi Johannes,
yes I noticed that it will take several seconds. However, backups are made and nothings shows up in the timeline. Even tried creating a new backup, but that doesn't work either.
Hope you've got this fixed soon.

Albert

Hi Carl,
did you had time to look into the back list problem I mentioned earlier in this thread?
Seems like it was introduced with the latest update.

Hi Johannes,
has anything been updated with the backup. I noticed that after the update to 2.5.1 and 2.5.1.1 the backups don't show up anymore in the timeline on the webinterface. The backups are working.

Re: duplicity - how is it scheduled?
Hi,
the backups are scheduled via the file
/etc/cron.d/bubba-backup
which has the same layout as the standard crontab file.

Re: Backup mail subject always show (failed)
This is a problem I already communicated to Excito.
The problem is that the backup script, run by cron at a certain time, always returns a non-zero value. The cron daemon sees a return value of non-zero as a failed job. This cron daemon also mails the output of the job to the user, and because it ...

Re: The unofficial B4 anticipation thread
I've got one, for what it's worth.
Two eSata ports instead of one. One should be able to use a port multiplier, as it is now.

Backup features request
- I would like to have to have the option of an "always full" backup. Currently, the backup is full the first time, and incremental until it expires, after which a new full will be created. Adding a tick box "Always full" to the backup configuration.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
Yesterday evening I noticed that 2.5.0.2 is out. I upgraded it through the webinterface. That went fine, although I had the message "No internet..." as mentioned before after it finished. I rebooted, just to be sure I'm running all the fixes:
- Backup works fine now
- The message about no internet ...

Sorry, no that's not the problem, as said command line does work fine.
I'll investigate tonight, see what I can find out.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
Can't give you the output right now (at work, sorry). But the LAN is IP address 192.168.1.4/24 and the gateway is my router 192.168.1.254. I don't use the WAN.
This hasn't changed in the last 1.5 years. As said, on the commandline it all looks fine. It picks up/sends mail without any problems, as ...

Hi Johannes,
yes, tried it the past few days. Same error, as said doing it on the commandline works fine.
Any logs I can check specifically (when I get home)?

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
Any news on the backup update?
Apart from that I found another weird error which wasn't there beforer.
