Thanks for moving the forum to excito.org. I was happy to find it again after some time the forum was not reachable. Meanwhile running kernel 6.1.128-1

Re: Debian bookworm (12) image 1.0 released for B3
Just for curiosity:
@MouettE Do you have statistics about apt requests for the rolling kernel releases? I have configured unattended upgrades, but probably not everyone has.
Meanwhile one of my b3 boxes runs a pihole besides a lot of different services (dlna, web services, smb, …) and I noticed that ...

Upgraded to bookworm.
Current kernel is
Linux b3-hiiumaa 6.1.77-1 #1 Wed Feb 7 02:13:22 CET 2024 armv5tel
Good idea to push the latest working kernel to the repo after testing it locally. All services were up and running without any additional tinkering.

Re: Debian bullseye (11) image 1.0 released for B3
Hi everyone!
Just a big THANK YOU for the chance to update to bullseye. Just upgraded 2 B3 boxes from buster to bullseye, the first one was done remotely, no error allowed ;-) I employed the standard way via apt. Before:
root@b3:/etc/apt# uname -a
Linux b3.local 4.19.117-1 #1 Wed Apr 22 09:44:09 ...

Re: How many B3's out there ?
Running B3 I bought from @stryker with 4TiB drive. No web interface, just Debian Buster (I think I owe a big "Thanks" to @MouettE) and installing the packets need. Media server (minidlna), smb, backup (dirvish), no clutter. Much better than any of the NAS devices you can buy nowadays. Freshly set up ...

Re: Bubba 2: Network inactive
Hi there,
I downloaded a Debian 8.2 image from this place http://s429147034.onlinehome.fr/install.excito.org/jessie/bubbatwo/jessie-1.0/ and it installed to the attached harddrive. The WAN IF connected to the DHCP server received an address and the PHY presented itself as 00:22:02:00:01:9C from ...

Re: B3 purchase
Hi Stryker, hi thunder,
I have no idea if stryker sold his B3 to you, thunder, or if you bought from Rodeus. If thunder did not want to buy used equipment, I would be interested in a B3 box (within Germany).
Thank you and regards
Goodgirl

Bubba 2: Network inactive
Hi there,
just unboxed a brand new Bubba 2. Tried immediately to set up a 4TB HDD after applying the bootloader update from Bubba 3: http://wiki.excito.com/w/index.php?title=Updating_your_B3_to_support_3TB_disks Unfortunately, this does not work, so I used a 1TB HDD to install.
