Re: Boot problems after raiding
I bought a bubba2 with a 500G drive and a storage with 500G also. They have been sitting around unused until the raid feature came out. I am thinking that it may be the external SATA connector/cable that may not be seating well because of the depth of the connector with the size of the opening.

Re: USB display
I bought a 4 line display from CrystalFontz part#634 and wrote a deamon that display the current time on line 1, the current date on line 2, and the current outside temperature on line 3. The temperature is retreaved via ftp call to the local weather metar site via the curl library. This display is ...

bubba 2 doesn't think it needs an upgrade
My version reads 1.0.13 but updating does nothing. my /etc/apt/sources.list

# vim: ft=debsources

Raid support on Bubba 2
Are there any estimates when excito will support raid1 on Bubba 2 ?
Raid and a permanent fix for the Ethernet bug are the 2 biggest
items I am looking forward to.

Re: TCP error on Bubb2
It turns out this was caused by the silicon bug. Executing the line:
ethtool --offload eth0 tx off rx off
as root fixed the problem.

Is it Horde or Fetchmail
Horde may only be showing you what fetchmail is doing. First separate the problem.

TCP error on Bubba2
With a capture via tshark I found the checksum in the TCP packet never changing from A53F even though the timestamp changes. Wire Shark identifies the checksum in error. The ACK on the connection had a good
checksum, it was only the data packets and the retransmission of that data that showed up the ...

fetchmail fails on pop3, but so does telnet 110
My fetchmail fails to collect email from my pop server. Watching it with tshark gave me no solution either. I tried replicating the problem with telnet by
using a command of telnet server.com 110
I get a connect. But when I send the CAPA command I don't get any response at all and the CAPA packet is ...

Email send through smtp server fixed. pop still broken
My Email server which require a username and password to send email would not work with Bubba 2 until I added the following to end of the file
/etc/postfix/main.cf
smtp_sasl_security_options = noanonymous
I still have not gotten the pop server to work with fetchmail. The server

Can't log in PIM
In looking at the log files I found that Dovecot had exited when the time was updated. Rebooting fixed PIM to allow me to log in. So be careful on setting time. My time adj had a default date of 2029. I thought there might be an ntp thread to get time but apparently not.

Can't log in to PIM
I created a user account and I can log in to the admin page with that user
name and password. However trying to log in to PIM I get an Login Failed message from Horde. Also the documentation implies there is a /home/user/Mail directory created for Email but I don't find it.

Love the new box
I have enjoyed my bubba but the lack of Raid limited how I used it. I am looking forward to upgrading to a Bubba 2. Thanks for the good work !
