Same problem
Thanks for the tip. I had the same problem with installing the printer connected to bubba with Vista (no problems with XP). But after installing Vista SP1 it was no problem.

I wonder what speeds you are getting when you copy files to/from the Bubba. I am reaching 3000-4000Kb/s. Is that normal or do you reach other speeds?
Any idea how to make it faster? I want to stream .mkv files (10-20Gb) to my TV-computer. But the movies lag when I do that.

bittorrent clients
After struggling with different bittorrent clients on my beloved bubba I suggest following: Build a webinterface for rtorrent instead and integrate that with the product, instead of continue to modify ftd.

My problems are solved
My problems are solved, and now I can play high bandwidth (like dvd format) movies
- by using ftp instead of samba and
- set a cache in vlc (on windows XP) to 7000 ms.

Now it works fine
by increasing, as you advised, the vlc cache to some 10000 ms. But I am still curious why the network bandwidth go down to zero approx every 3-4 minute...

install of w3btorrent
failed. It was built on ctorrent which didn't install. Possibly it also destroyed bubbas own torrent (ftd) functions. Now I have installed torrentflux according bjorns description. It seems very promising, it's up and running and downloads after some hour of installation.

w3btorrent
Has anyone tried the w3btorrent client? Is it a less resource consuming alternative to torrentflux?

Best way to stream video from bubba to a rendering client
When playing video with vlc mediaplayer on windows, only using the files mounted from samba in the windows file system, there are lot of freezes.
I tried the ftp, feeding vlc with a ftp-link. It works much better, but are there
