I've just put a new drive in my Bubba 2, and it's been chattering away for the last couple of days. I ran top on it, and mysql is using 96.5% of the CPU, has been doing for over 24 hours. Mediatomb seems to be high too, but not anywhere near as bad as MySQL.
I've copied some music and photos onto ...

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 1.3.0
I've managed to update. I ran it from the console and had a little problem getting Horde to update (I kept being prompted for a database update that didn't work).
Because Horde hadn't update, Bubba front and back end couldn't update.
Eventually I said "no" to the database update for Horde (I don ...

Re: Faster file transfers with NFS
"On a Mac client over wireless, the transfer rate drops with UDP so it's not a catch all."
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this? I'm tempted to give your tweak a try, but are you saying it doesn't work very well on Mac OS? (I'm guessing you're saying that using this tweak over wireless on a ...

Re: SABnzbd+ Installed
I never did get around to posting a step by step guide.
You've essentially got to get python installed, and once that's on you can install and configure Sabnzbd+.
Give it a try!

Re: Bubba Vs. Bubba2
To say "other than speed" is a slightly missing the point... the increase in speed makes Bubba2 quite a bit more useful than Bubba1. Throughput is an important difference; I've been able to stream much higher quality content from Bubba2.
Another big difference is the presence of esata and usb2 ...

Re: Bubba|Two Software update 1.2.0
Raid! Oh happy day! Awesome news!
Sounds like a fantastic update. Can't wait to get it installed.
Has the kernel changed at all in this release?

Re: Transfer speed over network
I'm constantly streaming HD video from Bubba|Two to my Media Center PC. So far I've had no problems.
As for the Dreambox, it looks like it runs Linux. You can try recording over the network to Bubba, but in the event that this is too slow, you could always record to the local drive, then kick off a ...

Why is my drive always clicking?
Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help me work out what's going on.
I've recently changed the caddy on the esata drive I've got hooked up to Bubba, and repositioned them in my office. As a result, I can now hear the esata drive clicking away every couple of seconds.
Anyone have any ideas what's ...

1. Raid hasn't been implemented yet, although there are solutions you can create yourself.
If you're interested in backing up your files, there's no reason you can't have a scheduled routine that does the copy for you, and copies files from an external esata drive to the internal one. That's what I ...
