Many thanks Cheeseboy - I will try this this eve, and will bear in mind the folly of my actions - might actually make a note so that I know what to do when the doo-doo hits the fan at upgrade time.

How to edit default b3 Startpage?
A rookie question I know, but where is the B3 startpage? I actually just want to change the title - I now have two B3s, so its easy to get 'lost' - expected to find some path in /usr/share/web-admin/index.php. but no - now getting obsessed! help.

Re: ZoneMinder
cheers for this DanielM, at least I know where to look for the problems now! Shame you don't remember the steps to install. Being stubborn I might give installing from source a go - of course I expect to encounter the same driver issues but, as they say, "forewarned is forearmed"

ZoneMinder
Anyone know whether ZoneMinder will run on Bubba Server, or where to find a Lenny unstable source to add to my Sources.list? I need to keep an eye on my Mother-in-Law, who is over ninety and frightened of falling and not being found (its all right, she and her carer say this is ok - honest!

broken led - lenny install
The led on the front of my b1 server has bust, I'm trying to reinstall from an image but your instructions assume (naturally) that the led is working
. Does anyone know in seconds how long to keep pressing the power button after plugging in again?
Any help welcome

You are quite right, my assumption was totally out of order, and not in the spirit of this very supportive forum. Please accept my apologies.

Re: AFP problem after update to 2.4
Of course, a more helpful answer is that this error is caused by a corruption in the netatalk files (Appletalk and associated files). When this happens a useful thing to do is to run the command (from the command line)
"dbd -r <path to server> " where you do not include the inverted commas and you ...

Re: AFP problem after update to 2.4
Many thanks for your swift reply - and for pointing me in the right direction, a vapid question though; by "primary error message" you presumably mean the pop-up message I get, not the most prominent in my logs??

Re: AFP problem after update to 2.4
this seems to stop me getting access to files on the b3 the log is attached through afp, which is extremely annoying - does anybody know a workround whilst we wait for the next b3 update? I attach the server messages file in the hope that this makes some more sense to others than me and may be of ...

Yep, thats it - all Maroska files are unplayable when viewed through the interface on my Panasonic TX-L3 series TV. So the problem may be at the tv end, certaintly few of those posting who have Sony Bravia TV's do not seem to be having the same problems, but then again the Panasonic does claim to ...

mkv in miniDLNA
Has anyone out there found a way of getting MINIDLNA to play Matroska (Mkv) files? they remain the one codec I can't deal with (at least that I need to deal with) and any suggestions would be fantastic.

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
All seems to have gone almost OK here, but the sources.list I have ended up with seems to be the old sources list - which means that apt-get commands can't find sources etc. Does anybody have / is able to point me to a sources.list that works with this incarnation of B2?
