Re: Incomplete web update?

Thanks for the answer. I will keep that in mind when doing future updates. :)

What exactly is bubba-album? In the web interface I see a camera icon with the description "Album". If I select it I get a blank page. I guess the bubba-album function is not setup correctly? Is there anything I can do to ...

Re: Incomplete web update?

I forgot to actually remove the init script from init.d. Did that and tried the following:

root@b2:/etc# update-rc.d wd_stop_unload_daemon remove
update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencing

Now the apt-get dist-upgrade seem to start. However, I encounter some problems when the bubba ...

Incomplete web update?

Just tried to update my B2 via the web gui update function. My previous version was 2.5.?.?. All went well until I got to 42%, then the progress bar seemed stuck. When I tried to access the web gui the B2 did not respond. I thought ok, I leave it like this for half an hour and try again later. Well ...

Re: [SOLVED] [Old] WD Green Power drives may kill themselves

Hi, according to WD that figure is not alarming by itself. Is it still increasing?

Western digital does not provide the wdidle tool for PPC, so we cannot fix that for you I'm afraid.

If you cannot get the LCC to stop running and you worry about that, contact support again and we'll work ...

Re: [SOLVED] [Old] WD Green Power drives may kill themselves

Just received my B2 back from Excito. It was sent in for a system restore since the B2 was bricked because of a failed system upgrade. Anyway, I found this thread and I checked my value of the Load_Cycle_Count... Hold on now... 581240! I have applied the 5sec-script and that seems to prevent the ...

Re: B2 upgrade puck up

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday! When upgrading to 2.4.1 the LED never started blink in 4Hz so I pulled the power cord (as described in the instructions) and now all I get is a solid light directly when powering on the B2... :( It is bricked for sure. I hope this will be taken care of ...

Re: Installing NFS on B2 - security updates problems

Well, it seems that I was a little too fast there... It does work but the NFS performance is terrible. :(

This is how my share look like in the /etc/exports file:

/home/storage/media/movies 192.168.10.0/24(ro,root_squash,async,no_subtree_check)

The directory is reachable via NFS from both my ...

Installing NFS on B2 - security updates problems

I'm trying to get NFS to work on my B2. I've added the the archived 'etch main' and 'etch non-free' packages to my sources.list as well as the security 'etch/updates main' package.

However, since the security support for Debian 4.0 has been terminated I'm not able to get any security updates... The ...
