Does it ask for the password if you do update from command line? Maybe it still asks for it, meaning you did not restore the DB stuff to exactly what it was?

What are you using to watch the movies? Linux/windows/network media player?, what player?

It's where the package file was supposed to put it.

I would just download a tarfile from mysqladmin homepage and unpack it where you want. (/home/web probably)

Just a related question. What are the "right" permissions for /home/storage/pictures folder (and its contents) ? I have 777 at the moment. I haven't been able to view my web photo album with photos in them in like 2 years, maybe because I have changed the port to be 8080?
