Just to say, this problem has gone away after a support call to Excito.
I got help with doing a Software Update and the printing problem disappeared. i.e. I could re-install Bubba's printer queue on my client computers and print.
On Bubba itself lp still didn't work and Excito explained that as ...

Re: Bubba2 printing problem
I am now experiencing similar problems when I send a print job to Bubba2. Printing used to work fine, but now shows the symptoms of an incomplete document and a printer which continues to flash, thinking it is in the middle of a job.
Because printing used to be fine until about 2 weeks ago I wonder ...

Re: using bubba2 alongside existing wireless router
What works (at last) is to set Bubba to be "server only" and enable its wireless access point.

bubba 2 in UK
Hmm.
I was hoping to replace my existing ADSL router with a Bubba 2.
Plugged it in to the ADSL filter - and it disabled the phone line. (!)
On enquiry I see that the Bubba has no ADSL modem built in. So I would need to buy and configure an ADSL modem.
Meanwhile no answers here yet to my post

using bubba2 alongside existing wireless router
I have a wireless router (Vigor 2600G) which i want to keep in service while i figure out how to use a new bubba2.
Its DCHP service offers one of a range of fixed IP addresses to clients.
I'd like to plug the bubba's LAN connector into one of the router's ports and then cascade the wireless access ...
