My ftpdns solution still looking "weird"? :-)
It can be up and running in a few minutes, free if you already have a website, and no load issues, or worries about who will maintain it when it goes wrong etc etc
I agree it is no good if you want to use it from an internet cafe (or other random ...

Re: Excito in bankruptcy
An alternative to easyfind is ftpdns, something I hacked to perform this function for my Odroids which don't have an equivalent to easyfind.
It requires a basic web hosting service with ftp (about $65/year, but this could be shared, or it could be hosted on a B3 that has a fixed IP) because it ...

Re: Kernel 3.2 for bubba3
@MouettE
Thanks for explaining which is very helpful. I guess if I just want to compile and run a MaidSafe vault, so long as I can SSH into B3 I won't need all the excito packages? I tried building earlier with gc++ but was hitting problems that were probably due to b3 lacking support for advanced ...

Re: Kernel 3.2 for bubba3
Would one of you be willing to provide a summary of **all** the steps needed for this in a single post (or a Wiki How To?), as well as saying why you'd want to do this and what it achieves for those of us watching with more excitement than understanding? :-)
I'm hoping this might solve some issues ...

Product Idea: TV Box for SAFE Network
Here's a neat idea for a TV product idea posted on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/maidsafe/commen ... rmediabox/
It's a really interesting idea and seems a very good fit with Excito. Worth a look!

Re: Building MaidSafe on B3
UPDATE:
I've managed to build quite a lot but am now hitting a compile error that seems to be related to B3's ARMv5 architecture as it works on other ARM devices (tested by the MaidSafe guys).
HELP: It would be great if someone else with a B3 could try replicating this problem to make sure it is ...

Building MaidSafe on B3
Hi All,
I am trying to build MaidSafe (a secure, decentralised, storage network which will be launched soon) and am not sure how to get hold of some packages.
For info: MaidSafe is an exciting project and a great thing to participate in using Excito servers - get in touch or check out http ...

B3 as a wireless device to an access point
I am trying to get my B3 to act as a server which connects to the internet via the WiFi hotspot on my smartphone (Samsung/Android).
I followed the Excito Wiki: Connect your B3 as a wireless device to an access point
Having done this I can see that my b3 connects successfully (I can see it on the ...

Re: Suddenly I get "Server refused to allocate pty"
@Ubi - many thanks for your help.
The mystery remains however, because after a second unwanted reboot by my Windows machine, and before I could investigate it, the problem has gone away (for now)!

Re: B2 + B3
Lots of possibilities... including an Android app as mentioned, but the carpentry is going to win out for a while as I need to create a workspace in my new home, and will enjoy it immensely.

Well I confess I was aiming at the inferiority complex, but to succeed I'd have to claim a -ve age so I give in. You were ahead of me starting at 6, and I was indeed older so you probably have more time to play and watch what happens before we're all absorbed into an NSA simulation (which I think ...

No, how do I do that?Ubi wrote:You showed the debug output of the client, but it is very helpful to increase logging on the server too. Have you tried this?
Thanks, Mark
