If you do not type exactly what you did and what the responses were I'mnot going to bother reading it
I did not know that I would have to state exactly what I did in every post. I have previously mentioned detailed what I tried and Gordon made a suggestion that I was just answering upon.

Re: Is Easyfind down?
Hi again,
I now tried from completely different PCs at work and cannot reach my easyfind-adress on any of them, but if I type the IP directly, everything is fine. Still seems to be a DNS problem, but I tried to check DNS records using some different nameservers, and all said that my adress pointed ...

Re: Is Easyfind down?
From where to where are you trying to get to your B3 using its myownb3.com name? Are you outside, e.g. at work, or are you on the same LAN as the B3? In the latter case this is a router issue.
As in my earlier posts, I tried from both within the same LAN as the B3 but ALSO using my cellphone via ...

Re: Is Easyfind down?
Hi again,
meanwhile I figured out the problem why my router's IP appeared instead of an "external" DNS, but that was my fault - had entered the router's IP as DNS also in the B3's network settings. Changed that to Googles DNS just to test if it would get working.

Re: Is Easyfind down?
the problem is on your end. My guess is that you first pinged your machine, and then updated easyfind. This first ping loaded the cache of your upstream DNS provider, and thus it takes a while for the change to propagate.

Re: Is Easyfind down?
Nope. Not for me.
Just checked the progress in the discussions here and tested both from my home IP (where the B3 also is) and via 4G on my mobile.
I assume the changes being made now do not require to make adjustments in the ntp.conf as discussed in other threads previously?

Re: Is Easyfind down?
This is incorrect. The full functionality has been copied and tested. The mybubba.org servers can replace the old infra 100%, requires no changes or configuration at the user end.

Thanks a lot for your help so far. I did not get ejabberd working so i decided to uninstall and reinstall it. After uninstallation, the /etc/ejabberd folder was still existent. After reinstallation, the old ejabberd.cfg was not replaced and the old (wrong) configuration still existed. I uninstalled ...

ejabberd and existing web server?
Hi all
I would like to install ejabberd as described in the HowTo provided by johannes. I would like to use it to be able to chat with my wife (and friends) via smartphone instead of writing sms. And NO - facebook, ICQ and other existing services don't suit me, I do not want to give my personal ...

Re: .htaccess doesn't work
I took a look at the howto and did exactly as instructed (including the instruction to have the .htpasswd in /etc/.passwords). I also changed .htaccess so that the path to the password file is right.
.htaccess is now placed in /home/web, so I suppose i should get a password request when just typing ...
