I bought two 7dbi wifi-antennas of ebay. Cost me only 3 usd with shipping. They are quite large, about 20cm long, but the signal is great.

How is the reception? is the signal strong enough?

But what makes synchrify so great? Personally I think backup via a web site is just a hassle. I favour a solution with a small client that runs as a service and supports ftp transfer. E.g. Cobian backup.

I've heard about this error before. Allthough not on Bubba. From what i remember, this was a bug, and "fixed" by rolling back to Squeezebox Server 7.3.

check if samba is running on the bubba.

Check the log for errors, and try to start samba using this command(as root):

To install the ffmpeg package, log on to the bubba via ssh and type:
regarding how to use it, just read the ffmpeg manual.

I think it is a better solution to use a gallery like e.g. Zenphoto wich has built in support both .mov, .flv and more.
