got a B3 question.
I am trying to use the backup function on a USB disk.
Started the backup 10 hrs ago, but still no progress message shown.
Only message I get:

Currently running backup of file(s) from backupjob: Pictures for user: admin

It is still running, or finisched? So, is there ...

Did you ever got this to work?
interested in this, however cannot get it to work (but, also pretty newbee when it comes to installing stuff)

it is working now. However, I feel that this the result of another action: at services I had UPNP and DAAP streaming on, Squeezebox was switched off.
well, yesterday I became a lucky owner of a squeezebox, so switch that to ON too.
this also made it happen that ...

btw, when using the filemanager everything looks like read/write

cannot see the permissions from here (outside LAN) because cannot get shell-connection.
everything is still default, didn't change a lot to permissions.

will check within 4 hrs.

I am trying to get Fireplay to work.
All services are on and as told in the manual the mp3 files are in /home/storage/music/

still, when I start fireplay there are no files to play, the library is empty. and suggestions?

looks like you are right, although I am not entirely sure about this.

well, this might be an explenation for mapping as a network drive.
somehow, you need to change the password twice...that's my little theory...

didn't try the same time.
started with trying the user folder.....

in addition to this all:
I am able to map the public folder drive \\home\storage without giving any username.
but I am not able to map with my user folder, i.e. \\home\raymond\
not even when I use the same Vista (7) username/pwd on the as on the Bubba.

strange. haven't got a XP image available, but ...

any news on this?

both the same result: will connect, but somehow doesn't accept my user credentials.
i've tried to log on as a admin and as a user to several folders. nothing worked.

got the solution. by the way, the same thing goes for downloading torrents and stuff:

first create a new user,you are probably logging on as 'admin', than these functions somehow are not displayed.
if you log in as any other use, you'll see the functions...
