Bubba 2 crashed - how to recover files?
Hello all,
I had this fine Bubba 2 server until it crashed on my a couple of years ago. Due to circumstances, I never got around to try to save the data from the disk. Now that I have a new Qnap TS-128A I thought let's hook the old bubba disk (WD Green 1TB) up the Qnap.

Help needed?
Hey guys,
I've decided to help this beautiful project with whatever I can help with. Are there any pressing issues at the moment? Just let me know where you would like me to help out and I'll look into it. I'm not a guru on any subject, but more of a generalist.
Hope to hear from you!

Re: Data loss?
Hi Johannes,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I see most of my data. I'm relieved that most if not all data in the users directories is there. But, in the storage directory, I'm missing 50% or more of my data. I can't tell you exactly how much I'm missing as I don't know how much data there was before ...

Hi all,
I've recently had a problem with my bubba2. It wasn't accessible anymore (ssh, telnet, web admin, afp, samba) and I couldn't get it to shut down properly. After a hard reset (unplug the power cord) I couldn't get it to boot anymore.

No emails show in email programs
Hello all,

Sorry, I didn't really get it before, but it seems like apt-get dist-upgrade is doing the job just fine ...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
Hi all,
I've got a problem with this upgrade. For a couple of hours, the web frontend keeps telling me it's installing new files: Complete. Nothing happens.
Any pointers where to find more info? Is there a possibility to upgrade manually via the CLI?
Thanks in advance,
Michiel

Re: Backup job failed: no temp space
Hmmm ... I stopped the SBS, then started moving the directory, but had to abort it as I didn't use sudo. Now SBS starts, but doesn't react to port 9000. Any ideas/pointers to where I can find the problem?

Re: Backup job failed: no temp space
It seems to be my squeezeboxserver cache (/var/lib/squeezeboxcenter/cache) and in particular the artwork.db file. I've read somewhere that you can move the cache directory to the /home partition, like so:
sudo mv /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache /home/storage/lib/squeezeboxcenter/cache
sudo ln -s ...
sudo mv /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache /home/storage/lib/squeezeboxcenter/cache
sudo ln -s ...

Did the default password change? I just installed this version from an Excito USB stick, but I can't log in anymore.
