OK, I've renamed the VG on the original disk so that the Bubba system sees it and it shows up on the 'disk' page. It doesn't mention LVM but shows up as Volume group/logical volume as in 'bubbaold-storage'
When I try to connect, I get "Failed to aquire suitable type of the filesystem on partition ...

Re: Bubba two won't reinstall
Thanks. Previous reinstalls have preserved user info and stuff or maybe my memory is wrong.

Re: Bubba two won't reinstall
What I mean is that it removes any changes I make, e.g. new users, passwords so it looks like a default installation

Re: Bubba two won't reinstall
Bit of an update: stuck a new disk in and did an install from USB. All went fine. Then sorted the bubba settings/users.
Did an in place install which completes but wipes all the settings I've changed.
Looks like my best option is to try to copy data from the old disc

Bubba two won't reinstall
Hi, I had some issues with updates in my Bubba2, so decided to do an in-place install.
Downloaded the latest image zip and expanded onto my Excito USB. Set DO_INSTALL=1; PARTITION=0;FORMAT=0 in bubba.cfg to keep existing data.
Followed the instructions - ethernet to WAN port, USB stick in, power ...

Import mail to Horde?
I need to import some mail to Horde from a thunderbird mbox. I can't see any way to do it.
Do I need to much about with the mail files directly or is there another way?

Great, worked a dream. Not sure why it didn't restart when I rebooted the bubba.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Windows 7 now doesn't see Bubba
Got fed up with the connection not being restored under sleep. Messed things up a bit via selecting a fixed ip on bubba (same as issued by the router)
Managed to get back in after linking direct to a PC and choosing 'get ip adress automatically' again. Put bubba back into network and restarted. I ...

Re: external access to bubba
Thanks for the reply.
I had the B2 in custom mode for a fixed IP. I've changed that to server and fixed the IP via the router.
Under network-firewall I have ports 22, 80, 443, 143 and 993 open on the B2. 8, 25, 10000-14000 are closed.

I'm really grateful for your help.
Have your fetchmailrc's ever worked? Have you used these settings on another system somewhere and got data?
