Just to share my new knowlede here. There is a bug in the new 2.4-RC1 release for B2 and if you run into a simliar problem that I had, meaning that when changing Network Profile the Network Web Conf GUI won't respond when you click "Update" you can do it manually in a terminal.

I still have the same problem and due to the fact that everything worked fine before the upgrade with the same external disk, doesn't it mean that a bug must have slipped through? Is there anything else I can investigate? I would really appreciate a solutions soon since I'm using that external disk ...

After upgrading to v1.2.2 I get the following error message when connecting my external harddrive through the usb.

Thanks that dit the trick! I had to set back the "no password needed" option on the root@localhost account in MySQL. Is it recommended to have it like that?

The firmware download issue still remains. Is it some problem at slimdevices web or should I try doing something?
