I bought a wd tv live and I can connect to the bubba2 and watch videos, pictures and listen to mp3's etc.
It works a treat. Richt now my grandson is watching shaun the sheep.

I have an external 2tb harddrive with usb and esata connection.

when I plug in the usb kabel in my running Bubba2 I see the drive in the section 'disk' and i can click the 'mount' button.

when I do the same with the sata cable the drive does not appear in the 'disk' section.

I have an external 2 tb harddisk I want read/write access to, so a have to install ntfs-3g.

In the mean time I put an old server, from pre bubba times i had standing around, in my network.
I runs suse 9.1 and i use it to try openldap on.
I installed allright. I exported my kaddressbook to ldif, but had to edit de resulting ldif file to make it fit in the schema ...

Has anyone installed a shared addressbook on the bubba2 using openldap or any other method? It must be possible to use the addressbook from linux and windows clients.
Any thoughts?

I put " host msdfs = no " in /etc/samba/smb.conf

and now all works as it should.

Question :

I'm running debian etch v 2.6

Should I upgrade ...

the options nodfs and nounix made no differnce,

maybe i have to change something in the smb.conf.

Are ther samba guru's out there who can help me??

It's more than a year now and the problem is not solved. I use the bubba two as a mail server but as fileserver it is unusable for me.
I did a fresh install of opensuse 11.2 hoping it was maybe a suse issue, but no'

I restarted apache. The error remained the same

- I don't have access to the internet anymore (firefox)
- Strange: fetchmail fetches new mails and I can read them via kmail/imap
