I'm thinking of buying a weather station with USB-connection and hooking it up with my B2 to serve current weather updates on a webpage. (And perhaps also a webcam for showing a picture of the current weather situation.)
Has anyone tried this with a B2? Any suggestions for suitable weather stations ...

Re: Can I get some help on installing java?
I don't think using the rpm file is a good idea. I just downloaded the tgz file, unpacked it and put it in a suitable place in the path. The only dependency I remember having to install was libstdc++5, and I simply installed it using

Problem getting NFS server running
I followed the guide from this thread (using etch instead of sarge) to set up a NFS server on my Bubba two, but I can't get it to run. Anyone who can help me out?

Bubba access from Kubuntu via NFS
I've followed the NFS-guide and I (think I) have the NFS-server running. I've also installed the nfs-client on my desktop Kubuntu and tries to mount some directories, but

only results in
mount.nfs: mount to NFS server 'rpcbind' failed ...

External drive spindown sometimes loses WAN connection
I have a weird problem. I have an eSATA drive connected to my Bubba|Two (and the /home partition on the external drive as explained in an earlier post). I have noticed that I sometimes can't access the internet. (This includes pinging from Bubba by ssh connection). I also noticed that the external ...

I don't know if it's overkill, but a possible answer lies in the /dev/mapper which I have found out to be Logical Volume Management. As I understand it the home-folder is a LVM that resides in sda2. Is it possible to create three LVMs in sda2 for admin, storage, and web respectively and then just ...
