You lose wifi-connection you say, have you connected a wifi-adapter to the Bubba? Or is the router connected to Bubba by a cable and is there a wifi-connection from the router?

Or do you lose the (cabled) ethernet connection?

Sorry, the wifi maybe confuses a bit - it is set up as in scenario 4 ...

Link beat lost on eth1

Hi,

At random times (very intermittent, usually somwhere between 2-3 days and up to a week) my router looses wifi connection to the bubba2 and the only way of getting it up again is to reboot the bubba.

This has happened at various times now, i thought it was my ISP and dhcp client or something ...

Installing museek (soulseek p2p)

Howdy,

Succeeded in installing museekd and text-client (mucous) on bubba, works like a charm. A bonus is that you can run a more sophisiticated X client from another comptuer and start d/ls on your bubba server (murmur for qt).

Here goes:

<VirtualHost *:80>

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}

</VirtualHost>

Well, I asked for that now didn't I :D

It just sounded so drastic - 'the silicone bug' as if the chip itself was faulty.
Do you know if this bug will be patchable or does it require to replace the chip?

For the benefit of others, this was also caused by the 'silicone bug' .. I tried the solution suggested in this thread: http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?t=1111

and it solved the problem.

Exactly what is this silicone bug?

Unable to reach some external web-pages with lynx

Hello,

I ssh into the bubba and when I try to reach some pages (yle.fi and www.itsyourip.com for example) lynx reports - 'HTTP request sent; waiting for response." and then times out after about 30 seconds with unexpected network ...
