Got the same problem here, i've tried with both a Kingston DataTravaler USB stick and a LaCie USB disk, tried to format as FAT in OS X and FAT32 in Windows, tried to re-create the partition table and made sure it has a sdb1 partition. No luck :(

I have experienced another possibly related problem when copying files.
This time bubba don't hang but the transfer rate drops to almost zero.
This happens after i try to convert a bunch of flac files to alac, both the source and destination is my bubba2, so there is both a lot of reading and a lot ...

I left it running and it actually restarted after 6 hours. Can't find anything interesting in the logs...

Happens for me as well, trying to copy 194 Gb via samba.
The file transfer can go on for quite a while (at least an hour or so) before it fails and bubba locks up.
It still responds to ping and the router functionality is still working.
I was logged in (as root) when this happened and i can't do ...

The normal output of iptables -L is a bit inconclusive, can you post the output of the following commands?
ifconfig
route -n
iptables-save

Sure, here they are, the second iptables-save output is from when i have set up port forwarding on other ports in which case it works.

I'm having problems accessing my bubba2 from WAN, it don't seem to respond at all on ssh, ftp and http. There is nothing between bubba and WAN, it is acting as my router and firewall.
Everything works fine from the LAN.
If i add a port forward for example on public port 2222 to private port 22 on ...

Today i got my Bubba2 1 Tb
I haven't really done so much with it yet but i really like the idea of having a full blown linux box with very low power requirements. Copying over my stuff from the old linux server right now, it will take a while .

Regarding energy consumption it will be slightly higher, but still in the same ballpark, we have measured about like 12W on the prototypes, with a 320 GB disk. However, with SATA disks there are more models to choose from, and some of the PVR versions use less energy than our current PATA drives ...

Sounds promising. how energy efficient will it be compared to the current version?

Has anyone tried on-the-fly conversion of flac -> mp3 (streaming) ?
