The Dreambox is notorius for it's demands on the server at video recording. Only a perfect wired connection is good enough.
I have tried smb & NFS but the Bubba is just to slow (for the Dreambox)
Not even Samba on a full size modern Linux PC is fast enough.

When browsing the bubba from XP, everything works fine, But from my Ubuntu the browsing is painfully slow, about 10sec to update a folder. If I transfer a file, the actual transfer is quick, but all operations involved in browsing and refreshing is slooow.

Hi.
Since I bought my bubba a couple of weeks ago I'm having increasing problems with the link to my switch. The link Led on the switch goes off, and I have to reboot the bubba for it to come on again. This can happen anytime..
