Perhaps mailto:support@excito.com works better? If so, post the result here. I am interested too (although I have actually kind of given up on the Bubba server and just keeps it as a second file store, for which purpose it works fine).

The Mediatomb guys thinks that it should work from version 0.11 and they will soon release 0.12. My bubba has Mediatomb 0.10.

Will there be an update through Excito soon or should I upgrade Mediatomb manually? If so, anything in particular to watch out for? What would happen at the next Excito ...

I would do the following.

1. Login to bubba using ssh
2. Become root.
3. Stop samba. /etc/init.d/samba stop
4. Edit the samba config file at /etc/samba/smb.conf
Copy/paste the "storage" definition and call it music. Change path to path=/var/samva/public/music
Save file.
6. Start samba. /etc/init.d ...

I also use a Popcorn Hour A-100. When connected using samba you browse bubba's folder structure (from the samba shared folder). I think it works good enough. It is a lot faster than my Snazio mediaplayer.

Popcorn can also browse content shared though a UPnp media server. Bubba has Mediatomb ...

My Popcorn Hour A-100 can play my flac-files on Bubba when accessing Bubba through samba (or whatever protocol it is using). But normally I use the Upnp media streamer on my Nokia N810 to select the music to be played on the Popcorn and then flac files cannot be played.

Yes, I have seen error messages in the log, mostly something like:

Mostly I use a Upnp client accessing Mediatomb. I have noticed that for instance when browsing Audio/Artists/Queen less than half of the Queen albums on disk show up. I verified that also through the Mediatomb web pages, the FileSystem view shows all albums while the Database view shows less than ...
