I have successfullly transferred my Macbook pro ITunes library to a Ubuntu thinkpad, but was wondering if there is a way to bulk upload my music to the B3?
Is it as simple as using scp to copy my Itunes music file structure up to the music folder? Most likely not.
Thanks!
Tom P.

Gordon,
Thanks for the pointers.

Re: Trouble configuring B3 on local network (LONG)
Gordon,
Thanks for the heads up about dnsmasq. Oh well. another service to learn about. I really don't want to change more than necessary, and replacing dnsmasq with a dhcpd server seems like more variable than I want to mess with. I'll crackthe books, but if anyone has hints on serving static ...

UPDATE:
I set up DHCPD and DNS on old B1 to serve 192.168.1.31 to the new B3, then after restarting B3, I saw that all the grayed out settings shwn in the LAN settings are looked good.

Trouble configuring B3 on local network (LONG)
My old B1 is set up behind a hardware firewall box which is between my local network and the WAN. The only thing the firewall box does is filter packets and forward some ports to selected internal IP addresses. It has a fixed internal IP address of 192.168.1.1 and serves as my gateway.

OLD bubba 1 owner, jumping in w/ B3, could use upgrade help.
I have had my bubba 1 for a very long time, and have just purchased a B3 chassis and install USB key wanting to transfer data and capability over before it dies.

Recommended tool-chain for developing bubba aps?
I would like to build a new deb package for mercurial 0.9.5 so I can use a modern version of mercurial on my Bubba.
mercurial 0.9.5 is not available in the arm package repositories, even in sarge backports, so I guess I need to build it myself.

Old RedHat guy, looking for equivalent of rpm -Va command.
In RPM based systems 'rpm -Va' will verify package contents against what is on disk. This will detect the following:
- changes in file ownership
- changes in file permissions
- deletion of files.
- changes in file contents.
Will 'debsums' do all of this?

How do I set up postfix to use port 587 for outbound SMTP?
Thanks for the info on setting up psotfix for authenticated SMTP. My ISP uses port 587 for the initial connection.

Seeking clarification on restarting torrent downloads.
Hi,
I am using the 0.51 update and bubbalibre's tiny little hack.
I normally start downloads by pasting the URL for a torrent into the download manager, as opposed to uploading a torrent file to ~/torrents.
For unknown reasons occasionally my torrent downloads stop. When I look in the ~/torrents ...

Want to migrate old mail folders to bubba, how?
I have an old RedHat box that I use to pick up mail from my ISP using fetchmail, which routes it to sendmail for delivery. (My bubba will be replacing it)

Admin panel to assign static IP does not allow data entry
I wanted to try the new web-admin out so I moved /usr/share/web-admin to /usr/share/web-admin.sav as root, then unzipped the new web-admin into /usr/share and restarted apache2.
