It is a common misunderstanding that the WD GP have variable rotation speed... Each model will actually have just one specific rate, and the variations specified is between the models in the GP-series.

Could it be that you have some kind of playlists in your folders? Some scanners pick up and open eg m3u-files, and if they contain references to the same files they are added one more time...

Yes, kissdx is the way to go, but it also adds some dependencies which I have not dealt with yet. But I guess it should not be to much work to go from kissd to kissdx, if I would want the extra features it adds. Just to download some libs and maybe set some build flags...

It is quite easy to build kissd http://www.popies.net/kissd/index.html for bubba, and it it works great with my DP-1500. But I guess your 600 will not be able to use that server if it needs UPnP...

Does the bubba support USB keyboards? I do not currently have any keyboard to try this with, but I am planning on buying a wireless keyboard with USB dongle. Ofcourse there is no screen, but that can be handled in other ways... 8)

If supported, what is the destination of the key sequences ...
